Merging Times

December 2020

А visual research of how time and space could be misdirected and merged through image editing. The use of images from the front page of the New York Times turn this project into exploration of how media depicts reality, creating polarisation between different political parties, cultures, nationalities. That awakened my curiosity for how polarised realities could coexist in their only form of depiction- imagery in media.

The medium chosen was newspaper as I worked with the digital archive of the New York Times, and the type of image editing was a mixture of digital edit and analog collage.
