From the Craftsman's Hands

May 2020

A short documentary about passion, persistence, and failure. The narrative is based on an interview with Kfir Kedem, an engineering student with a passion for sourdough bread. The film showcases his method for learning and developing a skill from scratch, dealing with failure, and how his approach could be applied to any field of interest.

The main visual used in the film are hands- an extraction from the actual interviews mixed with experimental footage of the blue hands. Together they create a dialogue and construct a bigger methaphor for the "craftsman's hands", revealing that his method of working could be applied to any artistic field.
